Waiting List Policy and Student/Parent Expectations

Registration/Waitlist Process:

The window for registration for the"Beyond the Bell "Program begins on Open House Night and continues for one week.  Students who have been on the waiting list are given priority, and the remaining slots are filled through a lottery.

Student/Parent Expectations:

It is critical that your child attend the first two hours of program daily in order to fulfill the mandates of the grant, and not risk being dropped from the program.  Students need to be picked up between 5:00-6:00pm, unless he/she has a parallel program or other commitment that prevents staying until dismissal time.  Students walking or riding a bike home will be released at least thirty (30) minutes prior to dark.

Expectations in behavior will be consistent with the day program. Phone calls and communication notes will be used to assist in communication.  A maximum of 3 communication notes are allowed before a student will be dismissed from the program.  Additionally, if a student is picked up late on three separate occasions, they will be dropped from the Program and become eligible to re-enroll or be placed on the Wait List for the following session.  The program runs from 2:50 (dismissal time) to 6:00pm on all student attendance days.
